    IT Specialist

    Location:
    Hybrid in the Stennis Space Center, MS, Tallahassee, FL or Tampa, FL areas

    Summary/Objective

    We are seeking an IT Specialist to support end users with the use of web-based applications and troubleshooting hardware or service connectivity issues.

    This role will also assist with managing, monitoring, and documenting network infrastructure as well as helpdesk issue tracking.

    Essential Functions

    The essential job functions for this position include:
    Stay up to date with the latest technologies relevant to the role and company offerings.

    Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software systems.

    Set up and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.

    Provide technical support to end-users via phone or email.

    Assist with the administration of network services.

    Resolve user issues and requests.

    Document and track all support activities.

    Ensure compliance with security protocols and implement necessary measures.

    Other duties as required.

    Competencies
    Required skills and abilities to effectively perform this position include, but are not limited to:

    Technical Proficiency:
    Understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.

    Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and techniques.

    Problem-solving Skills:

    Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.

    Capacity to research solutions independently and apply them effectively.


    Customer Service Oriented:
    Excellent communication skills to interact with users and understand their technical issues.

    Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.


    Attention to Detail:
    Thoroughness in documenting issues, resolutions, and procedures.

    Accuracy in following troubleshooting steps and ensuring tasks are completed correctly.


    Team Collaboration:
    Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
