    Business Development Representative - Industrial

    We design, manufacture, and sell innovative technological products that help keep people safe. Originally focused on the underground coal mining industry, We have expanded into new industrial markets in the United States and globally.

    We are currently seeking an Business Development Representative for our Industrial division which include, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution centers and the construction and aviation markets. We are looking to hire a talented, competitive, and trustworthy professional to help us grow our business. The Business Development Representative is a key member of the sales team, and the responsibilities include discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The primary objective is to generate revenue and achieve sales targets by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. This position may be remote or in-office at our locations in Lexington, Ky or Newburgh, IN.

    This position reports to the Sales Manager.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    • Prospecting through various channels such as cold calling, networking, online research, and trade shows.
    • Conversion of Prospects to Leads and building a sales pipeline at least 3x the sales goal.
    • Conducting product or service presentations to prospective clients to showcase the benefits of our solution which meets their needs.
    • Setting up meetings with potential clients and managing objections.
    • Populate Salesforce CRM with accurate and timely information
    • Ensure that availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
    • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
    • Conduct effective discovery call to identify the pain points (need), decision makers, and budget constraints.
    • Negotiating terms and closing sales deals in a timely and effective manner.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
    • Handling client inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
    • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams through Salesforce
    • Monitoring industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement is sales strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to align sales efforts with overall company goals.
    • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet sales targets and drive business growth.
    Qualifications & Competencies
    • A bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 5 years successful industrial B2B sales experience, with a verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Preference for someone with Forklift Dealer, Distributor or OEM experience.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for tracking leads and customer interactions. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
    • Knowledge of the industrial B2B markets.
    • A goal-oriented, self-motivated approach to achieving sales objectives.
    • Occasional travel is required, < 50%.
    • Other duties as assigned.
