    North Texas Giving Day


    Since 2009, Communities Foundation of Texas has presented North Texas Giving Day, an annual community-wide giving event that has raised more than $560 million for thousands of local charities through the website.

    In 2023, this leading, community-wide giving event raised $64 million from 97,000 donors for more than 3,200 nonprofits across the 20-county North Texas region.

    Summary


    The Senior Director, Marketing Strategy & Giving Day is responsible for carrying out the mission of the foundation by the successful execution of the Foundation's marketing strategy and CFT's national record-setting North Texas Giving Day.

    Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Senior Director oversees the foundation-wide initiative and is responsible for the planning and execution of strategies that attract Giving Day donors and partners (nonprofit and corporate).

    They are tasked with the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to further cultivate and engage donors with other CFT products.

    They are responsible for aligning NTX Giving Day with the Foundation's overarching goals and for assuring foundation-wide support for Giving Day.

    They are accountable for negotiating terms with partners and for overseeing the program's budget and strategic planning.


    The desired candidate should be well-versed in campaign planning, program management, and obsessed with optimizing performance based on data and results.

    They should also have a passion for making a positive impact in the community, along with a basic understanding of philanthropy.

    The position is based in the Dallas office.

    Key Responsibilities


    Manage North Texas Giving Day and other donor cultivation programs to fulfill CFT's strategic goal of expanding donor reach and increasing community impact.

    Mentor, guide, and lead a high-performing team to accomplish CFT's objectives with the highest quality outcomes, determining appropriate training to ensure constant honing of their skills, while intentionally developing team culture.

    Develop and implement plans that are closely aligned with the overall Foundation marketing & communications strategy and are focused on current and prospective donor engagement for NTX Giving Day as the lead generating program that drives future growth in CFT's community impact.

    Represent the Foundation externally with donors, nonprofit organizations, and the community.
    Foster a culture of continuous improvement, efficient communication, collaborative problem-solving, and effective conflict resolution.
    Create and lead NTX Giving Day marketing plan including oversight of communication strategy aligned with CFT's overarching strategic plan. Strategy includes branding, campaign development, web presence, and collateral production.
    Drive strong marketing strategies and opportunities that will drive results and support a CRM approach to cultivate donors.
    Work with e-commerce partners to optimize platform and user experience.

    Contribute to the continuing development of the NTX Giving Day construct, seeking out ways to add value to all stakeholders and enhance community impact.

    Work with relationships teams to activate sponsorships and corporate giving campaigns.
    Utilize data to make decisions and measure effectiveness.
    Qualifications/Skills/Requirements


    Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field, MBA preferred.15+ years of experience in marketing and/or program management with at least 5 of those years leading a team.

    Strong customer service orientation with an impeccable record of follow-through and a healthy appreciation for details.
    Experience in CRM solutions and working in a digital marketing environment. Salesforce and customer loyalty program experience a plus.

    Knowledge of marketing best practices, e-commerce platforms, and omnichannel execution as well as prior proven experience of successful management of marketing teams and programs.

    Ability to operate within a results-driven framework.
    Proficiency in budget management/financial analysis.
    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be self-motivated, and inspire others to do the same.
    Nonprofit work experience is preferred, including involvement with fundraising, events, nonprofit outreach, and sponsorships.
    Proven history of enthusiastically energizing and leading others to accomplish organizational and departmental goals.

    Able to work comfortably in a growth environment with excellent problem-solving skills and the aptitude to think creatively and make strategic decisions.

    Strong team player with the ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization and with external vendors.

    Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Excel, which will be necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations.

    Excellent communication skills both in verbal and in written form.
