What you will do in this role:
The Maintenance Supervisor role is directly responsible and accountable for all terminal maintenance activities to ensure terminal assets are fully maintained, optimized and safe for employees and the environment. This leadership role will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, driving priorities through the organization and transforming terminal maintenance from a reactive to a proactive service to our customers.

Your Core Responsibilities:

In close collaboration with the leadership team, defines and executes the strategy to transform maintenance service offering from reactive maintenance to proactive maintenance.
Analyses key maintenance performance KPI's (work order close out, time to repair, etc.) to understand trends and develop action plans where necessary.
Assesses work forecast, prioritizes work assignments and ensures scopes of work are executed timely.
Manage monthly maintenance costs to remain on budget.
Ensures work performed meets all quality standards per industry, and customer standards.
Accountable for product movement to ensure operations are consistently performed according and customer standards.
Assist maintenance engineer to perform root cause analysis to prevent future failure.
Proactively identifies and oversees the planning and execution of mechanical repairs.
Manage 3rd party contractors to understand improvements, while rewarding positive work practices.
Serves as a leader and mentor for maintenance team focusing on individual development, technical guidance, coaching, goal setting and prioritization.
Responsible for the overall health and safety of maintenance technician team and takes proactive steps to ensure day to day tasks are performed in a safe manner.
Responsible for environmental safety ensuring maintenance operations are conducted in a sustainable manner.

Technical Skills Experience:

Experience in managing a direct team preferred.
Experience training or mentoring employees.
5 to 8 years of experience (Combined or in One Craft).
Pump Installation & Pump Repair – Millwright (MOST DESIRED).
Pipe Fitting or Welding – Pipe Fitter/Welder/Inspector.
Tank Maintenance & Repair – Tank Rebuilds, Tank Inspection, Tank Repair.
Electrical – High Voltage, Low Voltage, Breaker Repair/Repalcement.
Instrumentation – Radar Levels, Tank Gauging, Flow Meters.
Analyzers – Hydrocarbon Analyzers.

This position requires an employee to be exposed to outside elements. Most extreme elements are heat in the summer months of up to 100°ree;+ and some exposure to cold of generally no less than 0°ree; in the winter months. There will be exposure to various chemicals and compounds, including fumes and smells, some of them hazardous. The employee will enter confined spaces and work in elevated environments, potentially for lengthy periods of time. Employee must be able to wear PPE required by the location. Loud sounds and vibrations will be experienced at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All environments are safe with appropriate PPE.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk (sometimes over long distances and carrying tools weighing up to 15 pounds), crawl, sit, speak, and hear. The employee is required, for extended periods of time, to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; the employee will be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; must be able to twist around repeatedly. The employee will be required to climb ladders and storage tanks up to 50' in height. The employee will be required to enter confined spaces and crawl under rail cars or trucks. The employee will lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds including overhead; must be able to carry up to 25 pounds over a distance of up to 30 yards. The employee must be able to roll and tip dolly holding a 55-gallon trash receptacle. Must be able lift and secure hose flanges; align and connect/disconnect 6" to 8" hoses manually. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to travel by car, truck or other land vehicles.
