- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of Shalom House properties.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours calls as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the overall mission and goals of Shalom House.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a residential or supportive housing setting is highly desirable.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
