    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Buyer to join our team. In this role, the Buyer will be responsible for meeting KPIs such as PPV, Inventory Turns and Creditor Days and must ensure goods and services are delivered on-time and meet all requirements The Buyer evaluates and analyzes supplier quotes, negotiates prices, maintains relationships with suppliers, and ensures orders are delivered on time at the lowest total landed cost.

    Buyer Principal Responsibilities:
    • Source, negotiate, and select vendors that meet the company's quality, price, and delivery requirements.
    • Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
    • Support strategic initiatives and supply chain transition processes, including execution of purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers.
    • Regularly review and update the release schedules to ensure they meet demand..
    • Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders.
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
    • Oversee and coordinate other departments to verify product specifications and provide product availability, pricing, and delivery dates.
    • Negotiate advantageous terms.
    • Support and manage supplier qualification and approval process.
    • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
    • Participate in project handover process to facilitate the development and consideration of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
    • Fully utilize Epicor MRP system to plan purchases and track performance.
    • Material or production planning experience a plus.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
    • Commanding knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team
    • Familiarity with SQL databases and Excel integration a plus
    Education and Experience:
    • Degree in business, materials management, supply chain or related field preferred.
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CPSM or similar) encouraged
    • 5+ years' experience in purchasing and planning in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems
    Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Flexible schedule, including early morning starts and some weekend hours to support our global sales and projects teams.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
    • Some travel may be required, up to 10%
