About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Buyer is to procure and source raw materials promptly while upholding stringent quality standards and ensuring cost competitiveness.

About You:

As a Buyer at MeriCal, you will have the opportunity to not only contribute to our success but also to enhance your own skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You are an assertive, outgoing, and task-oriented individual with a solid understanding of the supply chain.

In this role, you will:

Utilize the ERP system to review demand and issue purchase orders for required materials.
Drive cost savings through executing RFQs, identifying potential cost reduction areas, and staying informed about market trends.
Develop and nurture supplier relationships to ensure high quality, costeffectiveness, and timely delivery of raw materials.
Collaborate with the New Product Development team to support sourcing needs.
Work closely with R&D to assess alternative/secondary suppliers for supply chain continuity.
Address any quality issues with materials by partnering with Quality and Vendor teams.
Maintain data accuracy in ERP by updating purchase orders, lead times, safety stocks, and vendor information.
Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained and collaborate with Sales on discontinuations to avoid excess and obsolete inventory.
Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams on project statuses and deadlines.

Qualifications to be a Buyer:

Three plus years' experience in pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement, or foodrelated industries with extensive knowledge of raw material sourcing and procurement.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to develop alternative solutions independently.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in organization and outside communication.
Undergraduate Degree.
Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Strong computer skills with experience in MRP, data entry, and spreadsheets.
