Description
Responsibilities and Authority:
The Buyer will be involved in the placing of service and indirect material purchase orders, and following up with suppliers on delivery dates.
- Requesting product and service information, pricing, availability, lead time.
- Obtain the best possible price and leadtime for materials without sacrificing quality.
- Perform necessary purchasing activities (ie PO's) in accordance with TSI quality and AS9100 (aerospace) requirements.
- Expedite outside requirements accordingly to support manufacturing and other areas of the organization.
- Coordinate with the Accounting dept. and vendors to clear 3way match issues.
- Source new suppliers and set up new suppliers in ERP system.
- Engage in strategic buying for maintenance, and other areas focusing on proactive procurement rather than reactive order placements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of highquality products and services.
Compensation:
$30 - $35

Requirements:

Experience buying shelf life materials:
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently, with Spanish language helpful
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Negotiation and follow through skills
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills,
- Detailoriented
- Highly organized with proven ability to manage priorities,
- Ability to exercise good judgment and flexibility.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years related work experience is a plus
