What do we need:Our Direct Procurement team needs a Buyer who can optimize our supply chain performance and develop strong supplier relationships.


What's special about this job:


As a Buyer on the team, you will bring Procurement acumen to the category you will support and help influence strategies and optimize supply chain performance with your suppliers.

This role reports directly to the Manager of Supplier Performance.

If you have a desire to be a critical part of building a health, resilient supply chain by leveraging strong paternship with internal and external partners, this could be a good fit for you.

The categories of spend that you support are being determined, and your role will be a combination of strategy and problem solving.

On the strategic side, you will track metrics of our suppliers in that category, especially when it comes to Deliver and Lead Time performance.

You will set clear expectations with them and partner with them to optimize the impact they have on our supply chain operations.

Your problem-solving skills will be utilized to alleviate delays within our supply chain operations.

With a focus on root cause analysis, you will determine the cause of delays and mitigate constraints as they appear.

You will partner with numerous cross-functional teams throughout the supply chain organization and help influence their strategies. A limited amount of travel will be required for this role. Your ability to lead and influence teams and nurture these supplier relationships will continue to drive our business forward.


Required Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 3 years industry related experience, with a preference towards Supply Chain, Manufacturing or R&D is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field

  • Ability to be an effective, strategic decision maker and see the bigger picture
  • Strong ability to influence and work with internal and external business partners
  • Ability to guide and provide informal leadership to crossfunctional teams
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problemsolving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and experience with JDE or Tableau is a plus

The Supplier Performance Team is a talented, fun group of 7 team members who are responsible for ensuring our suppliers are meeting our performance expectations and supply chain goals.

The team supports the different categories that supply raw materials, components, and finished good buyout items used by our Manufacturing operations in the United States.
