- Formulates policies, manages production operations, and plans the use of materials and human resources of the site team
- Plans, directs, or coordinates the operations of the engineering, prototyping, and fabrication shop, overseeing multiple artisan departments and leading a team of skilled artisans and craftsmen in support of a broad range of shop functions and departments
- Serves as the primary interface and Point of Contact (POC) between the General and Operations Manager and the workforce
- Manages and coordinates incoming work schedules and allocation of resources
- Ensures that project deliverables and objectives are accomplished within the contract terms and conditions
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, and project estimates
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to subordinates
- Coordinates program activities with customer
- Set up and maintain communication vehicles
- Manage and interface effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional project teams
- Prepares project budget
- Evaluation of production risk management efforts to include risk planning, identification, analyses, and mitigation activities
- Develop and provide Performance Metrics
- Provide recommendations to management regarding project control, corrective actions, and recovery methods
- Develop and provide comprehensive reports and presentations to management detailing problems, potential problems, and risks to project cost, schedule, or performance goals.
- Attend meetings as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering (aerospace, computer, electrical, etc.) or business (finance, accounting, management, etc.) discipline
- Three years of experience in production facility management
- An Associate's degree and four additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree, or six years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

The Journeyman Project Manager will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operations workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, fabricators, and plant and system operators. Acts as the overall site lead and manager for Industrial and Production efforts in support of U.S. Navy projects.
