    Position Summary:

    _*The Patient Access Specialist purpose is to interview patients or family members to obtain accurate demographic and financial information, explain consents, distribute patient education hand-outs and explain their contents, obtain consent and responsibility signatures and answer any questions the patient or family member may have.

    *_Training and Continued Education_*Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees.

    *_Minimum Education_
    • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
    • Associates degree in Administrative Support Technology, Business or Office Technology preferred. Medical terminology experience recommended.
    • Proficient in use of software programs.
    • Excellent customer service and telephone skills a must.
