The Role

Consumer Marketing Operations Support Specialists will work directly for the Consumer Marketing Operations Support Manager in completing daily administrative work related to consumer marketing initiatives.

Specialists will work directly with management teams of several departments, including NIE, Distribution Operations and Customer Service, completing administrative duties across a wide variety of processes as well as executing important customer service communications including email and chat.

The position will be located at our office on 490 1st Avenue South, Saint Petersburg, FL
The starting pay rate is $12.00hr.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide exemplary customer service, primarily in written form, while responding to customer email and chat requests. A high volume of communications is received daily, requiring superior multi-tasking skills to move from item to item to resolve satisfactorily.
Reporting

creating and completing system-generated reports and importing/exporting files.

Complete compliant subscription management functions across multiple publications delivered by the Tampa Bay Times. These publications set different requirements for managing their subscriptions; must be able to complete these requirements in compliance of the expectations of each publication.
File manipulation of text and spreadsheet into formats compatible with our circulation system and knowledge of FTP processes required.
Demonstrate the ability to complete conversations via chat and email simultaneously, ranging across a variety of topics related to the publication and distribution of our print and digital products.
Manage vendor and contractor relationships to complete compensation and order audit processes on a weekly basis.
Outside Sales Contractors as well as Outbound Telephone Sales Contractors require ongoing oversight to ensure that orders are entered in a timely manner and pay is delivered as agreed to by contractual agreement. This includes reviewing and documenting orders in compliance of agreed-upon requirements for order validity.
Responsibility requires a high-level of multi-tasking and superior prioritization skills to complete a variety of commitments on a deadline basis as well as demonstrate skill to follow instructions and competently collaborate with the Database Management & Applications Support Specialist to provide expected results.

Education and/or Experience

Required:
High School Diploma or GED

Previous customer service or sales experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Must possess the ability to provide constructive feedback to peers, managers and staffers regarding process/procedure issues, system/application performance and customer interactions.

Above average working knowledge of PC software, i.e. spreadsheets, word processing, as well as a high level of comfort and familiarity with smartphone applications (iPhone and Android).

Authorized to use judgement to resolve the following on behalf of customer: Pricing, adjustments, credits, cancellations, service changes, inter-department notices.

Initiative to provide improvement to processes and confidence to explain the benefits.

Strong customer service experience and excellent communication skills via phone, online interactive and in person are required to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Good attention to detail, critical thinking, and writing skills as well as the ability to multi-task and switch into different modes during the workday/week

Able to effectively partner with employees at all levels of the organization and work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds, in addition to being able to maintain composure, focus, and confidence when dealing with irate or dissatisfied customers.

Must be capable to act as customer advocate and process owner to assure resolutions as well ast be able to use persuasion skills when dealing with customers.
