- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle-balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Lead others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Lead analyses to optimize the total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Lead analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Lead, develop, maintain, and identify improvements in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements.
- Lead, develop, maintain, and identify improvements in management processes, tools, risks, issues, opportunity management, and the technology readiness assessment processes.
- Plan and lead research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

- Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- Active Secret clearance.
- 5 or more years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience in the design, development, integration, and test of EO/IR subsystems.
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Ph.D. from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- Experience applying systems engineering principles during the development of complex hardware/software solutions on an aerospace platform.
- Experience with Model Based Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) using Cameo and Core.
- Experience providing systems engineering for research and development contracts.
- Experience as a chief engineer or systems engineering IPT lead with weapons design, software avionics/avionics/electrical design, and weapons system architecture.
