    The Community Life Ambassador Supervisor (CLAS) plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and staff by fostering a safe, supportive, and stable environment. This leadership position is vital for the successful operation of our various programs, ensuring that all activities and interactions are conducted with professionalism and in adherence to our mission's values.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervision and Leadership:
      • Provide direct supervision and leadership to Community Life Ambassadors (CLAs) during their shifts.
      • Promote a trauma-informed environment, ensuring client safety and supporting the team in the effective execution of their duties.
      • Monitor and evaluate employee productivity and provide feedback, guidance, and support to optimize performance.
    • Operational Support:
      • Coordinate shift logistics, including emergency responses, staff coverage, and communication with on-call supervisors.
      • Oversee daily operations such as room inspections, meal distribution, and client health appraisals.
      • Act as a primary contact for emergency medical services and other critical external contacts.
    • Client Engagement and Support:
      • Develop and maintain supportive, trusting relationships with clients, focusing on spiritual engagement and emotional support.
      • Facilitate and oversee client activities and compliance with program requirements such as drug screenings, curfews, and personal hygiene standards.
      • Handle sensitive issues like suicidal or homicidal ideations with appropriate, trauma-informed interventions to ensure safety.
    • Administrative Duties:
      • Maintain accurate documentation including shift reports, incident logs, and compliance records.
      • Assist in the onboarding and training of new staff members.
      • Perform general administrative tasks such as answering calls, managing emails, and coordinating supplies and donations.
    • Team and Community Relations:
      • Collaborate effectively with volunteers, community partners, and other staff members to enhance service delivery and program outcomes.
      • Engage in conflict resolution both within the team and with clients as needed.
      • Represent the mission's values and maintain professional growth and spiritual development.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven leadership experience with a background in social services, crisis management, or a related field.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to manage complex situations with compassion and discretion.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
    • Commitment to the values of faith, integrity, compassion, and excellence.
    • CPR, First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid certifications preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum AA Social Services, Psychology, Human Development, Ministry or related field from an accredited institution (or commensurate experience, equating to 2 years). Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years full-time work experience with individuals experiencing homelessness, various addiction challenges, mental illness and/or dual diagnosis is preferred. Nonprofit experience preferred.
