- Assistance with the day-to-day administrative support of the department.
- Update and maintain bulletin boards in the HHP area with information on the programs and opportunities.
- Support outreach efforts of the department by working alongside COCC admissions and outreach activities.
- Provide input in developing outreach strategies to market and discuss programs with students.
- Assist in connecting students to community resources throughout the campus.
- Update database platform (eg. Trackstar database software)
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage conflicts within and/or between groups and to work in a team environment.
- Ability to be accurate and detail oriented.
- Ability to remain flexible and do different tasks on a daily basis.
- Ability to provide consistent and dependable customer service.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds and other aspects of human diversity.
- Ability to use software programs and database systems which include Microsoft Office Suite, email, website editing, basic desktop publishing, and modern office equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for
- Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
- Currently a public health major, in the community health certificate degree program, or have taken an Introduction to Public Health, Community Health Worker, Peer Support Specialist, Introduction to Sustainability, Wellness Coaching etc.
- Interested in assisting with outreach activities and promoting community health
- Knowledge of graphic design software (eg. Canva etc.)
- Familiarity with Teams and Microsoft Office products

Primary Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support the Health and Human Performance department in connecting to students and the community.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the duties and responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Regular office hours are established between 8 am - 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.
Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature.
Minimum Requirements
