    Job DescriptionFederal Contracts Specialist – AcquisitionWork from Home - Washington DC Area to meet on-site with the client.
    Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a Public LLC is supporting a growing Federal Contractor with an Acquisition-centered engagement with the Department of Transportation. Our client needs a mid-level Contracts professional to support the DOT Headquarters with contract assistance related to acquisition and procurement. This is a work-from-home role, however, as some meetings with the client in Washington DC may be needed, you must live within commuting distance of the DOT Headquarters in SE Washington.

    As the Contracts Specialist, you will support the following tasks.
    • Independently review Procurement Request Packages to include the Statement of Work, Independent Cost Estimates, and other necessary support documentation.
    • Draft and Process high-dollar actions (over $2M).
    • Develop Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
    • Interface with Industry and Internal Stakeholders about procurement-related issues.
    • Develop evaluation criteria. Prepare and award Inter and Intra Agency Agreements.
    • Place calls against existing Blanket Purchase Agreements.
    • Oversee Technical Evaluation Committee meetings in coordination with the Contracting Officer.
    • Properly document Contract Files following agency directives.
    • Submit documents to the Office of General Counsel for legal sufficiency reviews.
    • Process actions considering FAR Parts 8, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 19 as appropriate; and Act as a liaison between the Program Office, Industry, and the Contracting.
    Your background will include.
    • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust background check.
    • Bachelor's degree or years of experience that exceed minimum requirements.
    • Demonstrated experience working with the PRISM system.
    • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on RFQs, RFPs, inter and intra-agency agreements, independent cost estimates, and independently review Procurement Request Packages to include the Statement of Work.
    • Prior experience drafting and processing high-dollar actions of more than $2 million.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills).
    • The ability to anticipate client needs, recognize, and act on opportunities to enhance client service, and expand the scope of engagement.
    • The desire to work on a team in a collaborative culture and face directly with clients. Experience and comfort with MS Office products.
    • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.
    • Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment,
