    Sure Smile Dental is a high quality state of the art dental practice -located in Scarsdale NY- looking for the perfect person to complete our team. Our ideal candidate must have at least 1yr dental assistant experience, know how to take x-rays, must be reliable, friendly, detail oriented, and honest. We offer an incredible working environment, great pay, and room for advancement/growth. Salary negotiable based on experience. We ask that only applicants with dental assistant experience apply.     Dental Assistant responsibilities include:

    • Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
    • Taking and developing dental radio graphs (x-rays).
    • Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.
    • Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
    • Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.
    • Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
    • Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
    • Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
    • Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies).
    • Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties

    Position requirements:

    • Must have at least high school degree.
    • Must have good professional and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be a team player, reliable, and honest.
    • Prior experience as a dental assistant a must.
    • Bilingual is a plus

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

    Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
