Job Summary:

Modern, state-of-the-art General Dental Office located in Kew Gardens, Queens is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team.

As a Dental Assistant, you will provide support to the dental team and ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the dental office.

Your role will involve assisting with dental procedures, maintaining infection control protocols, and providing exceptional patient care.


Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including all aspects of general dentistry
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Take digital Xrays (Dexis)
• Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and postoperative care instructions
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• Previous Dental Assisting Experience (minimum of 1 year)
• Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Dexis)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay:
$ $25.79 per hour


Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (required)
