    Job Description:

    A property and casualty client is looking for a talented Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be in charge of managing various financial aspects such as accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury operations, capital markets activities, risk management, financial planning and analysis, and capital allocation.

    The CFO's main responsibility will involve creating and executing a solid financial operating system to facilitate the company's expansion. Moreover, the CFO will play a crucial role in establishing valuable strategic partnerships and collaborative ventures that contribute to the company's growth.

    Acting as a key member of the executive team, the CFO will actively engage in strategic dialogues, providing valuable financial advice and insights.

    This is a retained search.
    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate closely with the chief executive officer, president, and executive team to fulfill financial objectives and provide financial guidance.
    • Engage in various capital-raising activities, including developing relationships, assessing capital costs, structuring finances, and conducting negotiations.
    • Devise strategies to support the organization's profit-driven growth objectives by offering financial counsel on capital allocation, underwriting outcomes, operational performance, reinsurance tactics, and investments.
    • Deliver insightful financial plans, monthly forecasts, and analyses to steer decision-making processes.
    • Supervise the creation of all financial reports, including statutory and audited financial statements.
    • Lead the analysis, acquisition, and negotiation of reinsurance programs to safeguard the company's capital and bolster strategic expansion.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff to cultivate a culture of accountability, adaptability, cooperation, and profitability.
    Requirements:
    • Minimum of 15 years of finance-related work experience with a diverse background.
    • Over 10 years of leadership expertise in the property and casualty sector.
    • Experience working with rapidly expanding middle-market organizations is highly desired.
    • Proficiency in capital raising, business strategy development, reinsurance program management, enterprise risk oversight, financial planning, and analysis, and handling relationships with rating agencies in a growth-focused carrier environment.
    • Prior involvement in mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
    • Demonstrated history of effectively managing, nurturing, and expanding teams with a strong sense of ownership.
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business discipline is preferred.
