    YOUR OPPORTUNITY

    We have an exciting Senior Farm Safety Manager opportunity in our Guymon, OK office. The Senior Farm Safety Manager will lead a team of 5 who are responsible for implementing and executing policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our Live Operations. Works closely with the Sr. Director of Safety to develop, implement, and manage all safety compliance policies/procedures for farm operations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agencies, primarily emphasizing continuous improvement to effectively control incidents and health exposures in the workplace.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Implement a management safety system focused on employee involvement, safe work practices/behaviors, injury prevention, and safety performance.
    • Observe behaviors and trends within live operations and leverage these observations into training that will prevent future occurrences.
    • Analyze leading and lagging metrics for trends and develop action plans as necessary.
    • Plan, implement and manage ongoing safety training and compliance with safety regulations, policies and procedures for managers, supervisors and employees to ensure their safety at work.
    • Create reports for managers that will help them understand trends and potential preventative measures to mitigate these trends.
    • Ensure the accuracy of reporting data in Seaboard's KPA system.
    • Work closely with Senior Director of Safety to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local, health, and safety regulations (OSHA) and prepare, maintain, and submit those records/reports, in addition to working closely with local government affiliates.
    • Provide leadership and development for the Live Ops safety team.
    • Coordinate and lead discussions with the appropriate senior management and supervisory personnel on all near misses and recordable injuries to ensure root causes were identified and corrective action was implemented timely.
    • Develop, implement, and coordinate a behavioral safety observation program to ensure employee work practices comply with safety policies/procedures.
    • Conduct comprehensive safety audits and provide follow-up to ensure corrective action is identified and timely implemented.
    • Drive timely completion of corrective action associated with near-miss incidents, incident investigations, and compliance.
    • Regularly communicate safety performance results to all employees.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required
    • Bachelor's degree in a safety related field of study with at least 7+ years of related experience.
    • Excellent knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety regulations.
    • Proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
    • Proven work history and successful track record of continuous improvement; designing programs and procedures that proactively control, eliminate, and prevent injuries.
    Preferred
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, not required.
    • An EHS-related certification such as CSHO, OSHT, CET, CHMM, ASP, and/or CSP a plus.
    • Must have a clear MVR.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
    • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds, also Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
    • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
    • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
