    Division : CRST Capacity Solutions brings together our Flatbed, Integrated, and Expedited services. Fully managed asset-based transportation that includes long haul, drayage, short-haul regional, and time-sensitive freight augmented by our expansive third-party carrier network and power-only capabilities.

    Job Title : Strategic Account Manager

    Location : Onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA (1332 Edgewood Rd SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404)

    Job Schedule : Monday-Friday (8:00 AM-5:00 PM)

    Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing executive-level relationships, assembling deal teams, and selling complex transportation solutions. This role requires a strong focus on customer development, creating demand, and driving customer account performance against plan.

    Day in the Job Preview : As a Strategic Account Manager, your day involves driving customer account performance through strategic engagement, developing account plans, managing budgets, and leading cross-functional teams to meet business performance measures.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities :

    • Directly responsible for driving customer account performance against plan, including customer KPIs, top-line sales, profit, pricing strategies, and new service sales.
    • Establish business relationships across all levels of the customer's organization, aligning with our own enterprise employees from account coordinators to key executives.
    • Lead strategic engagement with key customers for feedback on customer service, project management, communication, and operational performance.
    • Develop and deploy strategic account plans, host business reviews, and manage account budgets.
    • Establish business performance measures; lead cross-functional teams in executing priorities and provide direction for modifying work plans or implementing contingency plans as business conditions change.

    Job Requirements :

    • Successful completion of a CRST background check and drug screen is required.
    • High school diploma or GED is required.
    • 5 years of customer-facing transportation logistics experience.

    Ideal Experience & Skillset :

    • Experience with managing executive-level relationships.
    • Experience putting together deal teams and selling complex transportation solutions.
    • Strong sales background with a deep understanding of customer development:
    • Proven ability to own relationships with clients.
    • Skilled in identifying opportunities and creating demand.
    • Capable of developing unique solutions to meet client needs.
