    One full time, 40 hours/week, Peer Navigator opportunity at our Intensive Community Support office. Peer Navigators work with individuals, groups, and communities to improve mental health as a part of a treatment team. They provide lived experience and expertise that professional training cannot provide. This person is a role model to peers who exhibits competency and knowledge from the lived experience.

    Essential Job Functions:

    1. Ability to communicate ideas in oral and written form.
    2. Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
    3. Ability to instruct in group and individual settings.
    4. Physical, mental, and emotional health adequate to perform duties.
    5. Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources.
    6. Adhere to all applicable legal and ethical standards.
    7. Ability to work effectively with cultural/ethnic diversity.
    8. Ability to work at various locations, including client homes, schools, and community settings.
    9. Sound personal qualifications (i.e., maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health and physical ability to perform job duties).

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide the perspective of experience to clients.
    2. Assist clients with accessing and link to community resources.
    3. Help clients and family members with problem solving
    4. Provide encouragement and hope.
    5. Provide group, individual, and family services for clients.
    6. Provide services to families when needed including non-traditional hours.
    7. Keep comprehensive records that meet standards of the agency, The Joint Commission and contract.
    8. Collaborate with the treatment team, referring agency or other community agencies working with the client to coordinate treatment.
    9. Collect outcome data, including consumer satisfaction surveys, as required by the agency and contract.
    10. Participate in meetings, community outreach and presentations.
    11. Must implement program goals and objectives to meet and maintain contractual requirements and productivity.
    12. Participate in monthly peer review.
    13. Attend staff trainings.

    Other:

    1. Attend all required meetings.
    2. Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
    3. Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
    4. Other duties as assigned.
