Description
This position is responsible for the maintenance of the various facilities at the Elkhorn Slough Ecological Reserve. Multiple buildings, landscaping and public use facilities are all included within the responsibilities of this position.

You will serve as the leadperson for these functions and will also interact with the leaders of the Reserve's stewardship, research, and education programs, providing field support as needed.

Assist with the safe and proper functioning of the public drinking water system. Maintain and lead the operation of a shop facility used by multiple staff and programs. Operate water control structures for the management of wetlands. Maintain a network of wildlife guzzlers. Serve as Reserve site safety officer.

On site residency is required.

Working Conditions

Many of the required duties requires working outdoors, approximately 75% of time in a variety of weather conditions. Must be mobile on uneven, unstable surfaces including steep slopes, tidal mudflats and forested areas.
