Responsibilities:

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications
Debug and fix existing software issues
Offer suggestions for enhancing documentation and software development procedures
Develop new software or upgrade existing software with additional features
Integrate current software into new or revised systems/environments
Create basic data queries for current or proposed databases/repositories
Compose or review software/system documentation
Lead a team as per the specific software development process of a project
Design or implement intricate database interfaces/queries
Develop algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards
Assist in creating and executing software component test protocols
Create software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, collaborating with users/system engineers, and examining system flow/data usage
Enhance existing software to rectify errors, adapt to new hardware, or boost performance
Formulate, enhance, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to anticipate design outcomes and consequences

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution. Alternatively, four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes can substitute for a bachelor's degree
Minimum of three (3) years of SWE experience in programs and contracts of comparable scope, type, and complexity
3 years of Java experience
Proficiency in Gitlab
Experience with scripting languages (python/bash)
Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is a must

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with Jira/Gitlab integration would be advantageous, but not mandatory

Peraton provides comprehensive benefits to employees working on this vital National Security program. This includes heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for both you and your dependents, with 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous cap, along with participation in a lucrative bonus plan. The salary range is targeted between $112,000 and $179,000, reflecting the typical compensation for this role based on experience and other factors. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
