We are currently seeking an IT Security Specialist 2 to support one of our government clients in Annapolis Junction, MD. The responsibilities for this role include:

Enable planning, coordination, and implementation of the organization's information security.
Identify current security infrastructure, define future program requirements, and design and implement security-related IT systems.
Design and develop systems to maintain high data security and user compartmentalization for sensitive business and financial data used by TD systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ten (10) years of related work experience in security authorization.
Experience in areas such as current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, and encryption techniques.
Knowledge of commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering.

Required Capabilities:

Provide support to the ISSM for maintaining the appropriate cybersecurity posture.
Assist in maintaining operational security posture for systems or programs.
Support the Government on security matters concerning the information system.
Assist in managing the security aspects of the information system.
Contribute to the development of system security policies and ensure policy compliance.

Clearance Requirement: This position mandates an active TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance. US Citizenship is a must.
