Position Summary:
Our Clinical Supervisor manages daily operations on assigned program(s) and oversees, leads, and develops staff through effective leadership, communication, organization, and planning.
This role is responsible for collaboratively meeting budgeted census projections while providing leadership to the Clinical team.Primary responsibilities:
Clinical Planning & Service DeliveryDevelops, implements, and maintains operational and clinical policies, procedures and systemsFosters a trauma-informed care environmentAdvances daily decisions, problem-solves, and provides hands-on direction of all staffGuides assigned staff in working toward and achieving the agency's goals and objectivesContinuously monitors client treatment and proactively implements improvements and enhancements as warrantedCollaborates with agency leadership in evaluating long-term strategic changes that support the clinical processClinical StrategyIn collaboration with CQI (Quality), assesses and interprets service and performance data; identifies client and service trends, risk, outcomes, and compliance opportunitiesMaintains accountability and oversight of clinical processes, team performance, and service outcomes; may provide direct, individual, family, and group therapies to clients when applicableFacilitates the engagement, collaboration, questions and concerns of client and familiesUnderstands the training needs of the service area and agencyRegularly assesses and reviews staff performance and functioning, client needs, and service requirementsService & Treatment PlansParticipates in the evaluation of prospective clients; ensures staff readiness and understanding of service area expectationsOversees the development and implementation of service and treatment plansEnsures client assessments are conducted, per established standards and guidelinesUnderstands and abides by necessary licensing requirements and guidelinesEnsures reports and records documentation are produced accurately and maintained in a consistent, timely, confidential, and professional mannerEmployee Selection, Training & Performance EvaluationActively participates in the interviewing and hiring process; orients, mentors, trains, and develops staff with organizational and licensing guidelinesMonitors and facilitates the development of staff skills regarding service and treatment plans and the preparation and maintenance of client documentationProvides performance feedback to staff on an ongoing basis and conducts formal, performance evaluationsModels, supports, and provides mentorship on the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalitiesConsults with Human Resources regarding employee corrective action or performance improvement opportunitiesStaff Monitoring & Service Area PolicyEnsures confidentiality regarding client background and treatmentAdheres to and monitors compliance with safety and health codes and procedures for staff, clients, and the facilityRegularly conducts inspections of service areas and reviews the client recordsDemonstrates acceptance and respectfulness of clients and coworkers toward diversity including gender, race, age, culture, ethnicity, class, religion, sexual preference, disability, and gender identityRequired Education and LicensureMaster's degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or clinically related fieldLCPC, LCSW, LCSW-C licensureExperience in adolescent, adult, and family-based behavioral counseling and/or clinical experienceValid driver's license required.
