JOB DESCRIPTION:
Clinical Supervisor


PROGRAM:
Outpatient Mental Health Clinic


EXEMPT/NON-


EXEMPT:
Contractual

SUPERVISED BY:
Clinical Director


POSITIONS SUPERVISED:
Therapist and Interns


COMPENSATION:
$45-$50 per hour


WORK SCHEDULE:
Clinical Supervisor sets his/her own schedule contingent upon the needs of services for the program.


SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and quality assurance of clinical services provided to include the training and supervision of clinicians/interns as well as to collaborate with the leadership team.


QUALITY OF DOCUMENTATION:


  • Provide reinforcement of documentation/service standards assisting with compliance and clinical concerns as needed
  • Review and sign documentation of supervises to ensure services are being delivered in accordance with treatment plan
  • Ensure ITPs are developed, reviewed and signed as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supervise licensed clinicians and/or student interns working in the program
  • Review and sign assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries and incident reports
  • Conduct periodic quality reviews of medical records
  • Identify the training needs of team members and ensure that they receive documented training
  • Respond to clinical emergencies and assist staff with crisis management
  • Ensure staff comply with program policies and procedures
  • Provide individual and group supervision
  • Attend Leadership and team meeting
  • Periodically conduct client evaluations
  • Maintain a small caseload of clients
  • Assist with programming and operations

LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Masters Degree

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:


  • License LCSW-C or LCPC in the state of Maryland
  • Board approved supervisor LCSW-C or LCPC
  • 3 years post graduate clinical experience providing services in an outpatient setting
