- Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts payable activities and invoices.
- Process purchase orders and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track orders and receipts to ensure timely payments and accurate financial records.
- Coordinate with relevant parties for vendor onboarding and ACH verification and ensure confirmation of payments.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and competitive pricing.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate annual deals to optimize procurement costs.
- Coordinate order placement and delivery schedules to meet operational needs.
- Estimate usage and quantities of materials to facilitate proactive procurement strategies.
- Facilitate vendor onboarding processes to streamline procurement operations.
- Act as procurement software point-person to help update settings and create budgets and reports.
- Act as a subject matter expert on consumables, identifying tipping points and determining what items to track.
- Determine relevant items and manage stock and use of internal sale items.
- Distinguish between regular consumables and general functional group stock to optimize inventory levels.
- Establish and maintain inventory tracking systems to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Manage and update pricing for sale items.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Experience in accounts payable, procurement, or inventory management roles, preferably in a bioscience or related industry.
- Understanding of procurement processes, inventory control principles, and supply chain management best practices.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with procurement software systems (e.g., ProcureDesk).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of bioscience industry practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
