    Lanco Integrated is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 1 or 2 (depending on experience) to join our growing team. A Lanco Mechanical Design Engineer is accountable for planning, designing, documenting, and supporting designs through manufacturing. A mechanical Design Engineer maintains effective communication channels with all stakeholders throughout the project.

    They will work with the team to ensure the project is executed within budget and schedule constraints, while meeting customer expectations and Lanco's internal goals.

    This person will need the ability to communicate effectively, use feedback for design improvement, break down problems, think creatively, research unfamiliar technologies as needed, and use the resources available to them to make critical design decisions that will set Lanco up for success.

    Pay range is $29 - $36+ per hour based on experience Lanco Integrated is a leading manufacturer of custom equipment for production automation and a builder of flexible turnkey assembly systems.

    Mechanical Design Engineer 1 or 2 Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Primary responsibilities include conceptual engineering, design, and detailing of basic to intermediate automated assembly stationsCreate mechanical design output for assigned systems and stations including assembly drawings, bills of material, detail drawings, station descriptions, and I/O designationsParticipate in internal and customer reviews, as requiredEstimate and document station cycle timesSupport the machine build process throughout the purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and debug phases of the assigned projects with information about the designAwareness of scheduling and budgetary requirementsReview design input information (tech specs, costing, schedule, customer parts, etc.)Review technical and budgetary details with the Project EngineerProduce Test Plans and Risk AnalysesAssist/conduct in vendor correspondence and Requests for Quotation.

    Participate in the Company Idea System making continuous improvements as requiredAs needed, support the development of machine manuals by updating documentationAs needed, support Applications Engineering and Sales during the development of quotation and tech specAs needed, assist in the development of standards in mechanical designAs needed, assist Customer Service in support of Field EngineeringAs needed, assist in projects the Project Engineers or Engineering Management may be involved in to further Lanco's goalsAs needed, assist in new employee training, informal and formalMechanical Design Engineer 1 or 2 Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent0-10 Years Automation Design experienceKnowledge of automation design, strong mechanical system emphasisProficient in 3-D CAD, MS OfficeBasic Understanding of MRP system processKnowledge of Lanco standard componentsCapable of performing tolerance stack up calculationsCapable of performing advanced mechanical engineering computationsComprehensive knowledge of department and companywide ISO proceduresStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to apply Geometric Tolerancing and DimensioningKnowledge of basic machining practiceTravel may be required Benefits:401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceLife insurancePaid time offCompany paid holidaysESOPTuition reimbursement
