This is a summer internship.

Summary of Position:

The internship provides Engineering & Project Management support for numerous projects and engineers. They report to the Manager of Refrigeration & Design and work closely with an engineering mentor. Internship requires travel several days a week to the Yarmouth, ME office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist a Refrigeration Engineer with daily, weekly and monthly project activities consisting of, but not limited to, the following:
- AutoCAD design & analysis
- Requests for Information
- Submittals
- Document Control (changes, addenda, bulletins)
- Pre-op Meetings
- Attend Subcontractor and Client Meetings
- Material Delivery Logs
- Overall Project Administrative support
- Punch list
- Closeout documents

Additional Responsibilities:

Attend OSHA training, as deemed necessary
Assist with material takeoffs/estimating
Assist with schedule updates
Assist with Cost Meeting prep
Attend meetings and training sessions, as deemed necessary

Essential Skills:

AutoCAD or CAD software familiarity
Basic understanding of scheduling principles and logic
Developing knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials and sequences
Ability to learn Timberline PM Software
Microsoft Office Utilization
Good written and oral communication skills, strong initiative, problem solving abilities

Qualifications

3rd or 4th year engineering student; majoring in mechanical engineering OR electromechanical engineering.
Has reliable transportation to work in Yarmouth, ME office.
