Job Summary

This role offers academic leadership to the Business Department and is a key part of the College and Campus administrative team. It involves promoting learning, quality teaching, scholarships, and services. Additionally, the position provides guidance on the collective bargaining agreement. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) role that operates on an annual contract basis tied to the fiscal year.

Duties & Responsibilities

Overseeing curriculum development and instructional programs
Creating course schedules and assigning faculty
Managing personnel and conducting evaluations
Teaching at least one course per academic year
Handling departmental budgets and resources
Supervising the faculty advancement process
Providing program information and advisement services
Serving on committees and contributing to policy development
Resolving issues with faculty, staff, and students
Performing related duties as needed

Minimum Requirements

Masters degree in a Business discipline and five (5) years of higher education or teaching experience
Knowledge of College organization, instructional systems, and accreditation requirements
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Budget management abilities
Supervisory and training skills
Strong interpersonal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft and business applications
Flexible schedule availability
Ability to work in a diverse environment

Essential Position

This role is essential, requiring employees to be available during institutional emergencies to ensure College operations continue.

Additional Requirements
