Jorge Aguilar

I am licensed Social Studies teacher at Miami-Dade County Public Schools with five years of experience. Additionally, I 'm certified to teach Portuguese, Biology and Exceptional Student Education (ESE). I have a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations, with a certificate in Latin American studies and a minor in Education from Florida International University.

I have worked in diverse fields. After I graduated, I work for the Organization of American States in Washington D.C., as writer, then I worked in the Import/Export and freight-forwarding business, and then moved to retail. Seven years ago, I moved into education and found me passion. I started working in Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a temporary teacher and paraprofessional, and right now I have 5 years of experience as a full-time teacher, working in the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and Social Studies department. 

I graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Economics, with a double major in International Relations from Florida International University; also receiving a certificate in Latin American Studies, and recently completing a minor in education. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and I'm learning Russian and French.
