- Over 10 years of experience in program management, handling large and complex transformational programs
- Proficiency in software development life cycle models, along with expertise in Agile and traditional project management principles, blending them effectively based on project needs
- Prior experience in leading IT project teams consisting of vendors, on-shore/offshore Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, Data Analysts, QA professionals, etc.
- Demonstrated success in executing projects using Agile methodologies
- Must possess Agile Certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSM, etc.)
- Preferred certifications include PMP (e.g., PgMP, PMP, etc.)
- Desirable background in P&C Insurance
- Familiarity with Agile Project Management tools like Azure DevOps, Jira/Greenhopper, Rally, etc.
- Experience with Planview, Clarity, or similar PPM tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel
- Proactive, self-motivated, and takes initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in facilitating meetings and delivering presentations
- Strong team player who can collaborate effectively and nurture relationships internally and externally
- Exceptional planning and organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Capable of working independently, thinking critically, and meeting strict deadlines
- Adept at sharing knowledge at various levels and being hands-on with the team when necessary

An established player in the insurance industry is in need of an Agile Program Manager to come aboard their crew. This position is a mix of Hands-on Project Management and Agile Coaching/Mentoring of Teams, and requires applicants to be located near Hartford and available for on-site work a few days a week.
This is an opportunity for a contract role that can lead to a full-time position. Candidates must be open to working on a w2 basis and transitioning to FTE after the contract period.
