Key Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for managing all EHS programs within this state of the art Manufacturing facility that is expanding and experiencing growth.
Oversee the EHS department and staff
• Environmental programs such as Hazardous Waste, Clean Air Act and Wastewater Permitting
• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. This includes audits
for compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and corporate policies
• Prepares reports to maintain records of compliance, site's progress to maintaining a safe work
environment and maintain reporting system(s) for data collection and trending
• Assist in the management of the site's EHS Training Program. Maintain Health & Safety Training database and coordinate scheduling.
• Provide review and periodic updates of written safety and environmental programs, including
SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Ensures EH&S training through the implementation of safety awareness programs. Participates
in scheduled departmental safety inspections and assists in identifying corrective actions for
identified hazards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Professional Skills & Key Competencies:
• Knowledge of safety regulations and policies within CPG/Packaging, manufacturing
• Experience in environmental regulations and policies, including ISO 14001 in manufacturing
• BS degree in Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, etc preferred
• Must have 3-7 years of relevant plant level EHS management experience in a related manufacturing setting. (CPG, Pharma, Packaging, Containers, Chemical etc)
• Certification in CSP, CIH is desirable, but not required.
