- Respond to phone and email inquiries concerning registry-specific registration and testing requirements.
- Fulfill onboarding status update requests for healthcare provider and program staff.
- Develop registry-specific guidance and educational materials.
- Perform ongoing tracking and surveillance of production interfaces.
- Contribute to the design and testing of developed systems that support the registry or general meaningful use (MU) activities.
- Run standard and ad hoc queries on onboarding data to support compliance and audit considerations.
- Track communications with providers and hospitals and prepare and distribute registry reports to inform the program.
- Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the electronic exchange of health information from healthcare providers.
- Design, develop, and implement measures to track and analyze the quality of data submitted to the registry.
- Contribute to efforts to standardize onboarding processes across public health registries.
- Contribute to communication outreach planning.
- Create and maintain documentation to help internal and external stakeholders understand the registry onboarding process and ensure that standards are met and that all transmissions are tested appropriately.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and exchange protocols, such as Health Level 7 (HL7).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and senior staff.
- Strong written documentation, communication, and analytical skills to ensure that high quality deliverables are provided to NYSTEC clients.
- Strong computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and SharePoint.
- One year in public health or working with healthcare data standards and exchange protocols.
- Understanding of the system development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with any of the following:
- Immunization CVT/CPX and national drug codes (NDCs).
- Statistical Analysis System (SAS).
- Structured Query Language (SQL).
- HL7.
- Clinical Document Architecture (CDA).
- Standard medical coding system (International Classification of Diseases [ICD]-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, ICD-O-3, Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes [LOINC], Current Procedural Terminology [CPT]-4, Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine [SNOMED]).
- A bachelor's degree and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience.

About the Role:As an informatics analyst in the Quality Management and Improvement Services practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today's ever-changing healthcare landscape. NYSTEC is considered a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems.
Serving as an informatics analyst, your day-to-day role will include acting as the primary liaison to facilitate technical onboarding and electronic health record (EHR) data exchange between healthcare providers and a public health registry. The ideal candidate will perform operations support, communication and outreach, data remediation, and review activities to ensure data conformance and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesRequired Qualifications
The pay range for this position is $60,334.00 to $82,959.80 per year.
