Description

Minimum Qualifications
Non-competitive: one year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor's
degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or
a related field, and three years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical
models and data mining tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Python, SQL, dbt, and Git.

Not required, but a nice to have:
familiarity with Airflow, Docker, or Terraform. Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write efficient queries (preferably experience in Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Proven experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related roles, preferably in the Health Data, with experience using modern data pipelines and warehousing platforms.

Quick learner with ability to swiftly grasp new methods and technologies. Proven ability to work both independently on projects and as part of a larger team. Possess strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills with an aptitude for problem-solving. Object-oriented/object function scripting in Python.

Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
