Job Description A Global Facilities Project Controller's role is to lead and be accountable for the development of schedule & cost management, document control, risk control to comply to the requirements of Micron's procedures, business process and policies across the life cycle of a construction project delivery.
The Project Controller will report to the Global Facilities Central Team Senior Manager and support the assigned respective site construction projects' Project Managers & dedicated Project Controllers to ensure that the project is successfully delivered on time, within budget and meets the quality/standard as per Micron's requirements for the following tasks, but not limited to:Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Project Management. Travelling will be required as part of job requirement.
Responsibilities + Partner with Project Manager and various key players to establish the work scope and develop strategies with accurate sequence and durations.
+ Provide support to Project Manager with advice on all aspects of Project Controls. + Adhere to Project Control Plan. + Coordinate and act as the primary collaborator with the site construction Project Controls department.+ Responsible for site construction projects to comply to defined Global work processes, reports and procedures for cost control, planning, risk and document control at project level.
+ Ensure all projects follow global business processes and standards + Assist to coordinate Lesson Learned session for projects with all collaborators.
+ Change Management:
+ Supervise and facilitate the Organisational Change process: Work with Project team to ensure changes are handled and approved according to CMOC process with required SCR, VO and CRI
+ Document Management:
+ Ensure Site Document Controller adheres to the document management procedures set out. + Verify the weekly/monthly progress prior to issue for management reporting. + Ensure weekly report issued punctually on weekly basis. + Support consolidation of benchmarking data collection regularly. + Co-ordinate Lesson Learned session for projects with all partners. + Coordination for results status with Document Controller and verifies Document Control report. + Responsible to follow work processes, reports and procedures for cost control, planning, risk and document control at project level. + Ownership on assigned modules within Micron Project Control System (MPCS) platform for project control & ensure assigned projects to leverage on this platform for project control.
This includes but not limited to:
+ Develop, validate, and test the new Micron Project Controls System (MPCS) , & conduct end-user training for site users. + Maintain Benchmarking data (Historical and Market) for both Cost (material, labour, etc) and Time collection regularly in the platform. + Benchmark cost data and measure savings that reflect improvements in business processes, provide estimation of capital projects, supervising improvements to drive down costs, and maintain Company Pricing Databases. + Simulation of Cost and time for various risk factors & Contingency Management associated to the project specifies. + Any other duties that required based on priorities by the management.
Skills / Qualifications:
+ Degree or equivalent experience in any engineering fields / project management / construction or equivalent. + 5+ years of validated experience in relevant field in the Semiconductor industry, oil and gas / Petrochem or Pharma with validated experience in Project Services or served in a multitude of roles managed by the Project Services group, like planning/scheduling, cost/budgeting, estimating, QS, documentation, or other relevant engineering experience in an engineering and construction environment. + Takes ownership of deliverables with the ability to work independently or as part of a wider group. + Fluent in spoken and written English and be an effective communicator. + Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, Powerpoint, Project), project control platforms (Primavera P6, ACC, BIM360, Revit), & automation dashboards software such as BI, Power Automate, is preferred. The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $74, $135,000.00 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
