- Supervising and managing the inventory of necessary supplies for daily job duties.
- Demonstrating expertise in proper English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Organizing materials efficiently to ensure they are readily available for students in a timely manner.
- Maintaining detailed records of all transcriptions and appropriately labeling electronic files for future reference.
- Establishing and curating a resource file to explore alternative sources of braille, large print, or electronic materials.
- Collaborating closely with the Teacher of Students with Vision Impairments (TSVI) to make essential adaptations of materials for students.
- Staying abreast of technological advancements in computer technology relevant to braille production and interfaces with assistive technology used by students.
- Converting various materials, including books, workbooks, testing materials, and classroom assignments, into accessible formats like braille, large print, and electronic versions for students with visual impairments.
- Possess Washington State License and Certification for Braille expert role.
- Submit fingerprints to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, before employment commencement.
