Graduate Assistant, Wrestling

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Head Wrestling Coach, the graduate assistant will perform duties related to the University's wrestling program.

This is a two year, 20 hours/week, appointment not to exceed 800 hours/year. Commitment runs from approximately August 1st -May 31st each of the two years.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree required; current enrollment in one of the degrees within the graduate program in Higher Education at Southeastern University.

Experience Required:
College wrestling experience required; some experience coaching at camps and clinics preferred.

Strong organizational and planning skills that reflect timeliness, the ability to prioritize projects and intentional follow up
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Christian faith commitment required.

Special Working Conditions:
Required to work weekends and evenings as needed; valid driver's license.

Primary Duties:

Assist student athletes in development of athletic, spiritual and personal growth.
Physically participate in practice sessions.
Watch film and work one on one with student athletes as needed.
Assist Head Wrestling coach with administrative duties related to hosting events, scheduling travel, and facility management.
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

Secondary Duties:

Other duties as assigned.
