Salary Range:

$28.00 per hour commensurate with experience

The Learning Support Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating programs and services to support students with diverse learning needs. This role involves collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and external professionals to ensure all students have equal access to a quality education that caters to their individual needs, fostering their academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implement a comprehensive learning support program aligning with the school's mission and values
Collaborate with teachers to identify and support students with diverse learning needs
Provide assistance to teachers on effective instructional strategies for diverse learners
Coordinate accommodations and support services for students
Advocate for students with learning differences
Conduct assessments to guide instructional planning
Engage with parents to communicate student progress and provide support strategies
Work with support staff to address social and emotional needs
Stay updated on special education practices and legal requirements
Promote inclusivity and diversity within the school community
Supervise students and enforce school policies
Participate in conferences regarding student progress
Utilize technology and other electronic equipment
Perform other duties as assigned

Administrative/Other Responsibilities:

Respond to messages promptly
Organize and update student support plans
Interact respectfully with staff, students, and parents
Maintain confidentiality

Requirements:

Religious Qualifications:

Active Roman Catholic (preferred)
Understanding of Catholic school philosophy

Professional Qualifications:

Master's Degree (preferred)
Experience in teaching
Teaching Credential
Knowledge of educational methods and learning differences
Understanding of child development
Control and discipline techniques
Active Roman Catholic (preferred)
Willingness to learn teaching methodologies

Physical Requirements:

Stand for extended periods
Sit occasionally
Maneuver in classroom spaces
Interact with students at different heights
Lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds
