An energetic Business Development Associate experienced in developing referral networks and increase access to care for senior adults, 65+. This position will identify, attract, and build solid new referral relationships with organizations and individuals sup
porting and serving senior adults in our region while maintaining existing relationships currently established with this referral network. The Business Development Associate will have targets they are expected to meet monthly. The Business Development Associate will work with various departments and report to the Executive Director of Business Development.
Essential Functions

  • Willing to familiarize yourself with the company's vision and mission, adopt organizational values while seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives. Workin
g knowledge of behavioral health, specifically the needs of aging adults, 65 and older. Working knowledge of Senior Adult agencies, resources, and places

  • Comfortable prospecting to, and meet with physicians and medical directors.
  • Conducting market research and identifying potential clients. Cultivating strong relationships with new referral sources, while maintaining existing client relationships. Consistently delivering a caring, compassionate demeanor focused on supporting and assisting with connecting aging adults with the best care possible.
  • Driving gotomarket planning, execution, and metricsdriven governance. Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies. Maintains up to date/accurate records, such as account profiles, individual contact details, opportunities, and communications. Enthusiastically solicits referrals and communicates the value of API. Responsible for developing a referral network and developing strong relationships and sense of trust with referral sources. Must consistently communicate and behave in a manner consistent with API's strategic objectives, mission, values, and customer service philosophy. Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required. Identify new business opportunities and partners. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and empathetic skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Creativity Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, business management, communications, or related field. Prospecting to clinical professionals working in senior adult care environments. Crafting professional, compelling written communication to executive level audiences
  • Behavioral or healthcare services
  • Experience working in fastpaced, shifting environments. Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Project management working with crossfunctional teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
Preferred Education and Experience

  • 23 years' relevant work experience in business development in healthcare or similar field preferred. Sales experience targeting senior adult organizations. Proficient in CRM software such as Salesforce preferred. Work EnvironmentThe API employee is expected to behave in a professional manner, contributing to and promoting an inclusive and collaborative environment in which all are treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity.

The healthcare setting requires that API employees support an environment of safety through adhering to infection control principles, prompt identification/mitigation/ reporting of safety concerns to their supervisor, and adhering to all workplace safety requirements and policies.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Ability to push and pull up to 20lbs. Able to speak, write, and understand the English language. - Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Repeat the same movements. Speak clearly so listeners can understand. Good sight and hearing.
Travel (If applicable)Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some weekend and evening travel may be expected.
