Faculty of Engineering and Business Sciences at the
Meschede location.

The DFG project "Optimal Planning of Modular Production Networks and Locations for Sustainable Process Industries" analyzes the potential of modular production concepts in the process industry to enable decentralized circular value chains that can flexibly respond to uncertain market demands.

The core of our project is the development of innovative mathematical optimization models and special solution approaches for location and route planning within modular production networks, as well as the arrangement of facilities at production sites.
