SUMMARY OF DUTIES Under the direction of the Director of Special Education or designee, assists with functional behavior assessments and plans, and directs instructional and behavioral support services to students in the District with difficulties conforming to acceptable behavior patterns; assists in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and practices relative to the management of students' problematic behaviors, including children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional Disturbance (ED); collaborates with education administrators, certificated, and classified staff to develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and provide one-on-one and/or group Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to designated students
EDUCATION:
Graduation from high school or its equivalency is required
EXPERIENCE:
Two years of experience implementing and/or creating individualized behavior services to school-aged students with various developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses and/or severe behavior problems in a home-based, center-based, and/or educational/social services setting.
