    Position Description
    About the Position
    The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting Department.

    Responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including AP/AR and invoice reconciliation, contract and purchase order management, maintaining positive client/vendor relations, et al.

    How You'll Make a Difference
    Report and file required tax forms for federal, state and local government agencies
    Perform general cost accounting reporting and analysis
    Prepare periodic journal entries to general ledger
    Code expenses, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts in the general ledger
    Ensure staff processes and verifies invoices, purchase orders and expense reports for accuracy and compliance
    Ensure staff correctly codes credit card transaction with accurate reconciliation
    Ensure payables weekly check runs and manual request for checks are coded correctly and accurately
    Ensure compliance with Subcontractors' insurance requirements, licensing, W9
    Ensure vendor credit applications completed correctly and vendors set up accurately
    Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate financial records
    Assist in month-end closing procedures
    Maintain organized electronic and paper records
    Manage vendor relationships, address inquiries, resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    Use daily software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
    Receive training on industry-specific accounting software
    Additional financial analysis or other duties as needed
    Position Requirements

    Smarts, Skills. And Physical Requirements
    General knowledge of the electrical field
    Familiarity with electrical materials and construction methods, including requirement* for different construction types – ITS construction experience is required
    Strong code of ethics
    Service oriented, good "people skills"
    Training in project management preferred
    Education
    4-year business related degree from an accredited school (will consider candidates with less education that have a demonstrated history of strong performance and required skills)
    Experience
    At least 10 years of work experience in an office setting is preferred
    Prior experience as office manager or leader in a related field is advantageous

    Pay based on qualifications and current market
    Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    Prior experience with Vista/Viewpoint is a plus
    Basic understanding of accounting principles and the business environment
    Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
    Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
    Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues
    Eagerness to learn and adapt to new developments
    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and effectively manage simultaneous projects to meet deadlines
    Capability to work independently and within a team
