THE ROLE
The Accounting Manager will assist the Regional Finance Director to oversee, monitor and analyze capital and operating budgets, including monthly financial analyses, monthly forecasting, annual planning, cash forecasting, and ad hoc business analyses.
Work directly with the Regional Director of Finance to prepare operations analysis and reportsDaily reconciliation of cash and credit card transactionsOversee the inventory process and perform in-depth cost of goods analysisEnsure a timely and accurate month end closing processManage the weekly disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour lawsAnalyze monthly balance sheet and P&L figures to prepare comments and expose performance trendsDevelop and coordinate automated accounting applications and processesHave a thorough understanding of, and the ability to review contractsProvides standard administrative, technical, or production services or information that supports others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by othersProcess check and refund requests: check requests for accuracy; resolve problems; enter data into systemBuild solid working relationships with business and department leadersPerform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels.
Minimum 5 years of experience preferably in the hospitality industryBA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software requiredExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail essentialMust be highly analytical, have the ability to think creatively, and to understand complex business dynamicsMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline oriented environmentMust be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidaysKnowledge of POS and payroll systems a plus
