Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Kuiper team is looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual who wants to join our team as a Material Coordinator. You will be responsible for processing materials in order to support our customer, the satellite production team. You will also interact with peer teams such as planning, quality, and EHS to ensure our processes result in positive outcomes for these teams.
Key job responsibilities
Accurately and efficiently handle material for both production and development efforts using pre-defined SOPs.
Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually transact material (SAP).
Efficiently move material between sites, both physically and virtually.
Meet safety, productivity and quality standards by following best practices.
Operate equipment including: pallet jacks and hand carts.
Suggest improvements to SOPs, including safety procedures.
Additional Requirements:
Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts), overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time would be starting between 1:00PM to 2:00PM and ending between 9:30PM to 10:30PM.
Shift will vary, depending on program needs.
Flexible working/commuting in between site locations.
Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $24.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to lift up to 49 pounds
Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
Flexibility with daily work location as our warehouses are spread throughout the Puget Sound
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) as well as Slack, Amazon Chime, and reporting softwares
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
Experience with Kaizens or other continuous improvement projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $41,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $55,120/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
