    Description


    The Operations Supervisor monitors all operations including, but not limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status and dispatch drivers for pick up.

    The supervisor will be the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.

    Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies.

    Assist District Manager with general tasksResponsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Pilot's Corporate PoliciesEffectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and moraleReviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategiesCommunicating freight status and any problems to customers, vendors and other Pilot stations and personnelFreight handling via forkliftLoad/Off-load build trucks for optimal routingOther duties as assignedSKILLS/COMPETENCIES Customer service background preferredAbility to read key elements of financial statements in support of functional role responsibilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust have superior organizational and time management skillsMust be approachable and motivatedKnowledge of systems utilized as it relates to logisticsProficient knowledge of Microsoft OfficeMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
