PARK MAINTENANCE CHIEF I – BAY AREA DISTRICT / SONOMA STATE HISTORIC PARK
The reporting location for this position is 20 East Spain St. Sonoma, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Chief III (PMC III) District Maintenance Chief.
The Park Maintenance Chief I (PMC I) manages the facility maintenance program for the Sonoma area parks and is responsible for various record keeping and budgeting programs. This position keeps the District Maintenance Chief advised and plans, directs, and coordinates maintenance resources to meet the Bay Area District and Departmental goals and objectives. This position supervises the permanent and seasonal maintenance personnel assigned to the Sonoma area parks which includes the following units, Sonoma SHP, Petaluma Adobe SHP, Trione-Annadel, with limited additional responsibilities at Sugarloaf Ridge, Jack London SHP. May be required to provide additional support throughout the Bay Area District as needed.
This position is currently eligible for a Recruitment and Retention pay differential for the Greater Bay Area. This pay differential is five percent (5%) of the base pay for each qualifying pay period and is in addition to the posted monthly salary range.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 :30
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position requires a valid Class C driver's license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
State housing may be required.
