- Leverage strong relationship building skills to develop and maintain rapport and the trust of customers, prospects and centers of influence to build a pipeline of new business referrals.
- Proactively call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business. Collaborate and partner with other bank sales representatives, as appropriate.
- Demonstrate strong listening and critical thinking abilities while interviewing prospective customers concerning their business's performance, management and current/future needs to determine an acceptable level of credit risk.
- Perform initial financial statement analysis to determine loan viability. Collaborate with our credit team in the development and analysis of financial performance for new or renewed relationships.
- Recommend appropriate loan structures that meet a customer's needs while adhering to bank's credit policy and risk appetite.
- Responsible for the lifecycle of a relationship including managing all delinquencies and past due payments, and collaborating with the credit team to determine actions to resolve problem loans.
- Maintain active knowledge of varying industry/business segments in order to counsel customers and prospective customers. Maintain in depth knowledge of specific industries as they relate to new or existing businesses in your portfolio.
- Exemplify Evans' core values and be an active member of the community in an effort to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
- Well-networked in Rochester, NY area with ability to develop and call upon prospective customers and centers of influence
- 10 or more years of experience in Banking industry, with Commercial Banking experience
- Proven relationship builder with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solid credit underwriting and analytical skills in a commercial lending or leasing environment
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated with ability to see opportunities through to completion with minimal supervision

This Sr. Commercial Banking Relationship Manager position will focus on building the Commercial & Industrial portfolio of commercial loans and mortgages, service their book of business, and identify additional referral opportunities across the bank.

This position is anticipated to pay a base rate between $115,773/annually and $169,800/annually. This rate does not include potential incentive pay and benefits paid for by the company which may be in addition to the base rate of pay. The base rate of pay is determined by factors such as required experience, skill set needed, business impact of position, value of budget oversight and people management, among other factors. Your Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to answer specific questions you may have regarding the base pay range for this position.
