Overall Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a leading role on the Financial Planning and Analysis ("FP&A") team focusing on Business Line & Corporate FP&A. This individual will have a leading, hands-on, role in the planning processes, analytical content creation and reporting frameworks that will efficiently illuminate business performance and enable executive decision making. They will lead across functions and teams to establish financial targets and update forecasts for informed operational plans linked to clear business strategies.

Essential Functions

Executes the financial planning, forecasting and analysis process for expense across multiple business lines.
Oversees the creation and communication of the annual operating plans, including budgets for operational expenses related to all non-technical business lines,
Provides monthly financial reporting and lead monthly financial reviews with Functional and Executive leadership.
Participates in managing P&L performance and product profitability alongside Business Line leadership team.
Provides necessary input into accounting's month end close by validating accruals and providing guidance on what expenses to include.
Updates and validates the inputs driving Cash Flow and Balance Sheet forecasts.
Understands and illuminates opportunities to drive optimization of products' cost structure.
Provides timely narrative and analyses input to Finance leadership in support of consolidated monthly forecasting and performance reporting.
Ensures that forecasts and variance commentary are accurately represented in quarterly board presentations.
Participates in establishing, monitoring, and analyzing insightful and actionable KPIs to measure product performance and trends in partnership with stakeholders.
Performs financial analysis in support of company acquisition activities and other financial due diligence analysis as may be required.
Outstanding business/financial modeling, analytical and quantitative skills; able to resolve business problems with well-structured analyses communicated in an effective manner.
Proven comprehension and ability to apply foundational corporate finance techniques to measure financial performance and strong command of US GAAP.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a regular basis, without sacrificing the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
Demonstrable ability to effectively work with all levels of staff and management both as a self-starter and in a team environment.
Ability to plan, organize and lead the work of others, while developing goals and objectives consistent with corporate vision and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and experience typically obtained through completion of an Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
Minimum 5 years' experience in financial analysis, investment valuation or corporate development.
Experience with business planning techniques and related development of key performance indicators and systems of accountability.
Strong emphasis on financial skill set with demonstrable experience in business/financial modeling, economic analysis, P&L management and reporting.
Demonstrated application of financial/operational analysis to drive tangible business value.
Outstanding business/financial modeling, analytical and quantitative skills; able to resolve business problems with well-structured analyses communicated in an effective manner.
Demonstrable ability to effectively work with all levels of staff and management both as a self-starter and in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a regular basis, without sacrificing the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
Ability to plan, organize and lead the work of others, while developing goals and objectives consistent with corporate vision and strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, CPA and/or CFA
Big 4, Management Consulting and/or investment banking/venture capital experience a big plus.
Experience in Software, Tech-enabled Information Services sector.
Experience in Payments and Identity industries.
Experience developing or managing external communications with Board of Directors and other business stakeholders.
Experience with the following, or analogous software, Adaptive Insights (financial planning), Planview (project management), (CRM), Business Objects (BI Reporting) and MS Dynamics/GP (GL).

Physical Requirements

Early Warning works together in a highly collaborative office environment. Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The pay scale for this position in:

Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $110,000 - $125,000.

Early Warning Services takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining a competitive salary offer, including, but not limited to, the job scope, market rates and geographic location of a position, candidate's education, experience, training, and specialized skills or certification(s) in relation to the job requirements and compared with internal equity (peers).
